Maya mempunyai seorang pakwe, Dani. 5 tahun berkahwin, akhirnya mereka dikurniakan seorang anak, Amani. Kemudian Dani kembali membuat kacau cuba meraih semula cinta Maya. Maka porak perandalah rumahtangga mereka. Setelah beberapa peristiwa tembak menembak dan bom mengebom, akhirnya orang jahat mati, hero dan heroin bersama kembali. Tamat. (Nak tahu cerita, tengoklah sendiri. =P)

Malah sanggup meminta cerai demi seorang bekas kekasih.

Cinta, kalau disandarkan kerana Allah, bukankah bahagia melihat cinta kita bahagia?

Haha =P

Mastering the Art of Study

As mentioned before, here's my post regarding Korean version of Dragon Zakura; God of Study. Although this name is widely used, but I think the accurate translation would be from official KBSWorld site: Master of Study, since they're not God, and the main theme in this drama is mastering how to study well. I finished this drama during a crucial time as I have 3 quizzes this week, and marks will be included into the Final. =P

As you all knew already, this is a story about a lawyer who wants to save a school by trying to send 5 dumb students into the top university in Korea, in order to raise the school reputation and attracts more enrollment by the next year. In that way, the school will overcome its financial crisis. Kang Seuk-ho, a delinquent-turned-lawyer will train 5 students; Hwang Baek-hyun, Kil Pul-ip, Hong Chan-doo, Na Hyun-jung and Oh Bong-goo, in a special class designed to send them into the top prestigious Chun-ha University. This drama will follow up their story and how they overcome the obstacles.

This is a remake, so it's nice to see how Korean-touch will make this drama, like Boys Before Flowers over Hana Yori Dango. There was some romantic feeling added, as usual of Korean Drama, and some tips & tricks to study High School subjects, which I think attracts students and maybe mothers to watch this drama. Low rating in the beginning seems to improve 200% after a few episodes aired. If only the subjects were taught in Malaysia, I'll surely recommend this drama to all mothers and teachers. But still, it's a must watch to teach us why do we study in our life. Maybe an exam booster for all students as well. =)

The main premise for this drama is about where there's a will, there's a way. As Kang Seuk-ho said, "With correct study skills and strategies, anyone can get into the top university". I learned that this phrase is not the main intention, but his purpose is to let the kids realize that studying is important, regardless of the result. If they can grasp the determination, they can do anything in this world.

Positive points about this drama:

1. Beauty
Nice thing about this drama is because all the kids are cute! Yoo Seung-ho, Go Ah-sung, Park Ji Yeon, Lee Hyun-woo, and Lee Chan-ho bring great impression to the viewers and actually, I love seeing the kids on screen more than the adults. One more factor; I like their school uniform! Why did Korea and Japan's school uniform so beautiful? Dunno if you realize it or not, but students in Japanese school drama always wear their uniform until late at night. Maybe it's because the uniform is stylo? T____T

2. Tips and tricks
To understand the teacher's explanation, some graphic animation and skits were shown. The analogy used was easy to understand, and at the end of the episode, the kids will show some study tips for the students. I think it's an attractive points for the story. Based on my experience, if viewers take them SERIOUSLY, it's actually true.

3. Relationships
It's rare to see relationship other than love in a Korean Drama. Maybe it's because this is an adaptation from a manga (Japan), so there're some Japanese touch in it. We can see student-student friendship and even teacher-student love. Definitely this is another great story after Great Teacher Onizuka. Combine them, and we'll get a perfect school story related to delinquent-turned-good.

Negative response:

1. Not all subjects were stressed equally.
Throughout the story, Math is the only subjects that get most screen time. Major tips and tricks was about Math. But maybe this is my feeling because Language subjects were mentioned theoretically; feel the context from your heart, be friendly with the subjects, etc. I mean, it's hard to potray something like that in a drama and I think the crew did a good job with them.

Science subjects were solved with Mind-tree, but I think Dragon Zakura came up with something else. Can't remember. So, a bit lacking in that.

2. Love story was abrupt
Some people will say this is negative point so I will include this because the story toyed with our feeling! Romantic scenes were shown in every episode but no conclusion or whatever in the end! Episode 12 will mark this change, as they make their strict decision to study harder and throw away all the monkey-love feeling. =P

But for me, this is actually a good point. Love is useless. They want to enter top university so just study and study! It's a heartbroken thing for the viewers but it's necessary for the kids. This is the same as SoEul couple in Boys Over Flower, their romantic story was left undecided. It's up for the fans to make up their own story. At least fans will have some fanfics to do.

I still cannot decide to go with Baek-hyun/Pul-ip or Chan-doo/Pul-ip. =P (Hyun-jung still a cute one so regardless of the outcome, they'll still make a great couples).

3. False hope?
An article was published bashing this drama because it's mainly giving hope that everyone can excel if they study, even if they're poor. They can enter the top university and change the rule of the world. The article may be a little skewed because it was published half-way the drama was aired. This issue was elaborated a little through Baek-hyun, but judging from the intensive care Seuk-ho provided, the article still proven true. Major problems with the world is not getting good education environment (Dedicated teachers, high quality materials, and good places) that usually money can solve by going private.

In the end, rich guys with private tuition will fill up the quota of university entrance and leaving behind the poor one; Just take a look on JPA scholarship. So, the world still will be dominated by the rich one. But a little motivation will not hurt right? After all, without motivation, even the rich and smart guys will not study and excel. And if no one wants to challenge this, when will we succeed? =)

Although some study points already mentioned in the drama, I'll list some that should be noted:

1. Building the foundation.
Basics is the main key in studying. Math is all about formulas and spontaneous answer to simple questions. Building the basics will help in further study and prevent students getting bored because they can't understand the new terms.

2. Study in groups.
This one actually never mentioned clearly. Baek-hyun said to Hyun-jung, "If you go, that won't make five." meaning Special Class will not be formed without five people, holding her from transferring school. Then they starts study by themselves, peer-to-peer teaching and being together without any of the teachers around. It resembles a study group, isn't it?

3. Exams is just a test.
I love this one. Failure is not a marker for you to give up. Regardless of the results, you should keep studying. Even harder and harder. It's like study is part of your life. After all, this is the main theme of the story. =)

My score: 9/10
Negative points were covered up well, make me feels like all the mentioned above was already answered in this drama. Add the positive points, this is a worth watching. Maybe there're some slacks, but never disturb the flow of the story.

Translation score by Haru2Subs: 7/10
Some grammar and structural errors, and some translations are hard to understand. Maybe the direct translation caused this, but a little editing will make the subtitle better.

J-Drama Dragon Zakura was a hit, and brought a big changes in Japan Education when the application for Todai University increased 12% after the drama was aired. This is what the media should do. Sadly nowadays, all magazines and newspapers in Malaysia do is reporting gossips and crimes, while the films and dramas always focus on rempit and bohsia. No wonder Malaysia is fucked up right now. Maybe they didnt realize the power of mass media to change the world. The only thing they know, people love that kind of shits and they should focus on that. People afraid of my tiny little blog, so imagine what a bigger platform can do. Unbelievable? Check the screenshot below.

This is part of mediaPERUBATAN's mission: To bring POSITIVE changes to the world of medical students. I welcome any articles, videos and any other means related to medical worlds to be published in PERUBATANonline. I don't care if you're a medical students in Egypt of India or UK or wherever. If you got the good thing, share with us. An empire starts with a small village; Goguryeo empire that owns half China a long time ago is actually starts with a refugees camp. (Since this is entertainment blog, I can't mention Islamic empire. People will mistake this blog for a religious one. =P)

Lastly, please check out this Exam Booster message from Bureau of Academic. And maybe someone should come up with ideas to adapt this story into Malaysia, just as Great Teacher Onizuka was adapted to Guru Terhebat Olan by PTS Publications. =)

Cheers and Let's study until we feel we will die from it!

p/s: I wrote about study but all people knew I never study seriously. =P

All In Gray Area

How can I missed this great drama?! All In featuring Lee Byung-hun, Song Hye-gyo, Ji-sung, in a gambling-casino-action-love drama, this is a must watch! And I think ntv7 already aired this drama in Malaysia. Sadly, my home didnt have ntv7 channel on that time. Wait, if it's 2003 then my home didnt even have a television! XD

This drama brings me back to the younger version of the actors. Lee Byung-hun recently acting in IRIS, also an action drama. He was also a character in GI Joe movie; the ninja-I-forgot-his-name. Song Hye-gyo in this drama still brings her usual personality; a sad girl in Autumn Tale except that she didnt have any fatal-illness this time. XD She became a cheerful girl the next drama: Full House. I think that drama really brings a new impression of her. Ji-Sung was first seen by me in New Heart. Later on I knew he acted in Save the Last Dance for Me with Eugene.

Few minutes into the first episode, I was kind of shocked because the hero was shot, and the story begins its flashback. Stereotypically in other dramas I watched, the hero will be dead, so I became less motivated to watch the rest. Who wants to feel excited throughout the story but in the same time already knowing that in the end, the hero died leaving heroin alone? It's like watching Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core; already knew Zack will die, but people like him more than Cloud! *sigh* But fear not, it's not the end! That was only a teaser, and it happens to be at the end of the first half (14th episode).

This drama is the story of a man named Kim In-ha (Lee Byung-hun) throughout his life, struggling to live with his love. He only good with two things: Gamble and Fights. He was a problematic students who happens to love an unlucky girl. That was the start of his miserable life; all because he wants to protect the girl. Unintentionally killed a man, he was prisoned for 6 years. After being released, he started to work as security guard at a casino, then accused falsely for murder again. He became a fugitive to America where he worked for a mafia. Twist and turns finally brings him back to Korea after becoming a pro-gambler. You can see that in this drama, his life is only for his lover, Min Soo-yeon (Song Hye-gyo). Love makes you strong huh?

Interesting part is, he has a friend, Choi Jung-won (Ji-sung). A rich one whom he really envy because Jung-won had everything. Watching movie in the cinema when no one else around, went to a really high class hotel, a really opposite one to In-ha. Jung-won was also arrested alongside In-ha for unintentional killing, but he was lucky to have his father released him with money and put all the blame to In-ha. Growing up, he became bit by bit like his father, a cold blooded businessman.

Both of them finally became enemy over a woman, Soo-yeon. Later on, they also compete against each other in business. Looks like Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. Really cool. Actually I cant categorize Jung-won as being evil or not. The same as In-ha. In-ha being a gambler, a fighter who always resolve to fight, is actually a man who care for others; his lover, his friends and family. Jung-won who seems cruel for trying to hit on his best friend's girlfriend is actually care much about his friend and only did that to protect the woman he love.

These characters development gives me impression that people actually have a good side on them. World doesnt always black and white. White people will always be good all the time, and black people will always be bad all the time. There will be always gray area which only decided as halal or haram, but not good or bad.

One more; Dont be involved in bad thing. Once you're in, you'll always be pushed into another one. It's almost impossible to quit without a strong determination. Being the half-good guy, In-ha always resort to another crime in order to protect his friends. Sad but true. If you want to be the good guy, give it all your shot. If you want to be the bad guy, make sure you became the devil. That'll be worth your hard work.

Other characters was also interesting. Like In-ha friends, always stay true on their friendship whatever happens. Or Jin-hee with his one sided love. One lucky thing is this story doesnt follows the usual rectangle love story; Although Jung-won loves Soo-yeon, he never act recklessly. Jin-hee also accept that Jung-won doesnt love her and stayed in the back. I can say that this story focus more on In-ha/Soo-yeon love story and gambling/hotel business world.

The only disappointment in this drama are:

1. There are too much flashbacks!
Damn, they put flashback scene like every 15 minutes! And the same scene over and over. I get tired of watching the same lines, and it's always the sad tear-jerking scenes.

2. Song Hye-gyo still a crying actress.
She still brings her personality from Autumn Tale. Lost her lover and still cannot forget him although he was officially announced dead. I guess that was Korean love story typical plot, right? XD Cant they make her being unloyal and went to Jung-won after In-ha was announced dead. That'll make the plotline became more exciting! XD

3. Las Vegas was the only example of gambling business.
They mentioned Las Vegas as the gambling business example over hundreds time. In the meeting room, on the golf field, hotel lounge. Cant they come up with something else? I knew every character was involved in gambling business, but can you believe that they have the same idol: Steve Win? Another excessive repetition.

4. Undeveloped characters and scenes.
I like to see how Jung-ae who first loved In-ha turns her back to him and went to Dae-soo instead. I guess Dae-soo's love made her really love him. Quite a cute couple. If they develop their love story a bit like SoEul couple in Boys Over Flower, it'll be nice.

Jin-hee also had little time on-screen, maybe due to her being passive over Jung-won. Usually co-actress got more time on-screen by being sad and drinking in the bar over the guy, but not for her =P. Maybe a little development will bring more excitement to this drama. Something like, she should encourage In-ha and Soo-yeon to be together, so she can have Jung-won =P

The scene where In-ha became pro-gamblers also felt uncomplete. Suddenly he won the championship and returns back to Korea. I knew he was learning poker and being good at it, but there was no scene of him winning the preliminary round or whatever. Suddenly he was like an already-champion-gambler challenging World Poker Series final. T___T

There are too much characters brought into the story, but undeveloped as if they only came Touch 'N Go. Complete this scene and get lost. Wtf?

5. Useless scenes
I hate In-ha's uncle scene in the room with all the cabaret girls doing useless thing. I mean, if you delete those scenes, there'll no change to the story at all!. I knew sometimes this off-scene brings some humor, but really, it's useless. Better use that screen time to develop characters I mentioned above.

6. Ending.
One thing I hate about interesting drama is the ending always sucks. I dont say All In ending was sucks, but it's abrupt. A sudden stop. What happens to Jung-won business? Did he success over the project bidding? What about Michael Jang? Did he died after being betrayed by In-ha? It was really an abrupt one. In-ha quit from being Michael Jang's puppet and then live happily with Soo-yeon. Full stop. Argh~

Overall, I can give this drama 7/10. First half was fast-paced, but still smooth. Second half of the drama starts to be draggy, with all the excessive flashbacks. I think it's because of the episodes extension. The rating is high, so they want to make it longer. Really fucked up. Dont extend it if you cant make it better. Damn~

A little useless Trivia:
1. Kim Tae-yeon acted in this drama as Jenny, LOL.
2. Choi Jung-won is actually the name of Jung-ae's actress.
3. Swallow the Sun was said to be All In 2. Not a sequel, but more like another story with the same Director and Producer, plus some original characters like Ji-sung. Choi-ran, etc.

Need to study, tomorrow will be an exam. =P

Painter of the Wind

I need to admit, this is my third saeguk (historical) drama of Korea I watched this year after Book of Three Han and Queen Seon Duk. Spare Legend of Four Gods, Iljimae and Hong Gil Dong aside, I watched them years ago. Thank God, this time it is only 20 episodes.

I'm sorry I wrote this first before Queen Seon Duk (QSD). I knew people out there keep spamming my shoutbox for QSD review. But I left Deokman a long time ago which I can barely remember the story. Saeguk drama can be too long. QSD itself has 62 episodes. Book of Three Han has 81 episodes. Each episode is 1 hour long. (Calculate how much hours I spent for watching dramas instead of studying Pathology, XD). It's interesting to follow through every episodes, but sometimes you'll just forget all the past events after a while.

Just finished Painter of the Wind last week, I know it's kind of late because it's 2008 drama but no one I knew is downloading PotW so I had to download it myself with my crappy internet connection. Eh wait, suddenly last 2 weeks the internet went crazy and the download was quite decent. Triple my usual download rate, it's a happy news when our house still doesnt pay the internet since December last year. I wonder when the ISP will stop our account, XD.

It's weird to write in English. I got 5D in GCE 'O' so I thought writing in English will make Teacher Salmi happy. I miss her a lot. Or maybe a re-read after writing will spot a lot of grammar mistakes and somehow I feel good to re-edit this entry. You can't edit your SPM papers after you submit them, that's why someone got 5D in GCE 'O' on 2005's SPM T___T.

Okay, enough rambling.

This drama is about painters named Shin Yun-bok (Hyewon) and his mentor, Kim Hong-do (Danwon). The story is about their paintings; where, when, why and how they got the idea to draw. It's like watching a documentary in a story. Except that it's a fiction. If you ever read HM Tuah Iskandar's novel, that's the feeling I got. Not like "Original", but as in "Hearts to Whom" (Hatimu untuk Siapa), "Freezing Rainbow" (Pelangi Membeku), "I'm in Your Heart" (Aku di Hatimu) etc. That story-facts-story-facts-story feeling. I didnt recommend this drama if you're not very fond with paintings XD. It'll just makes you feel bored.

One reason that makes saeguk interesting is that you'll always found about it in Wiki, XD. Maybe there'll be some alteration to the drama version compared to real version but I wonder why I didnt use Wiki when I watched "1957: Malaya's Heart" (1957: Hati Malaya). Ever thought about it? XD. History never change. It's just how you wrote an adaptation that matters.

That's why when Hyewon is potrayed as woman in this drama, there're some different opinions about it. Although the real life Hyewon is man, but comments from Art researcher said that his painting of woman was really detailed as if Hyewon is really a woman. It's actually interesting how drama influence people and stimulate discussions. It's the same with Queen Seon Duk. The discussion was heated with whether Mishil is really exist or not because she was never mentioned in Samguk Yusa and Samguk Sagi (Samguk Yusa/Sagi is Korean version of "Malay Annals" (Sejarah Melayu) compiled by Tun Sri Lanang). Most interesting part is the forum was filled with facts and references to support their opinion. Do that in Malaysia's forum and it'll fill up with rubbish spam and Yahoo Messenger-styled replies, XD.

Back to Painter of the Wind.

The timeline is Joseon period. At first I thought it is before Goguryeo was established, but actually it's after the Three Kingdom period. Now that was a study. See how I studied the history by myself? I'll not doing it for Mat Salleh, I swear, XD.

I had three reasons to watch this drama till the end.

ONE: Paintings.

It's interesting to see how some paintings from the past is mixed up together to make a story. I mean; how in the hell did they come up with the idea to write Danwon's "Bbalrae-teo" is actually painted from the same place as Hyewon's "Gyebeon-gahwa" with just a slightly different perspective. It's creative, and creativity attracts me.

We might be used to anime-styled drawing that we thought their paintings was some kind of "ugly". There was a person who asked me, "Who drew that? Kid?" Believe me, Danwon and Hyewon was described as renowned figure in painting during Joseon period. Dont underestimate their painting. Sometimes the value is not on how cute your character is, but the story it represents. If not, how in the world Shin-chan becomes popular?

As the saying says, a picture can describe a thousands words. You can learn how to draw anime-styled with round eyes and slender figure with Goku's hair but honestly I admired those who can describe the whole scene in just one pictures. A picture that tells a story. Moreover, it's historical artifacts as their paintings depicts some facts about Joseon period lifestyle including activities, jobs, cloth, etc.

TWO: Love.

Korean drama will never lose this point.

The only difference is Painter of the Wind has some weird love story. You'll think that their love was some sort of homosexual. I'll explain below.

Hyewon is a woman. She disguised as man. (I'll refer to Hyewon as man after this line). Hyewon likes a woman named Jeong Hyang. That woman likes him back thinking he's a man. So she's normal. But Hyewon? XD. His mentor, Danwon is a man. I dont know if he likes Hyewon from the start but he doesnt know Hyewon is a girl. It's like sort of Hana-kimi feeling. Homo? XD. In the end, both knew Hyewon is a girl. So, normal relationships began.

Actually it's really unique. It made me realize love doesnt have limits. If your friend asks you, just tell him you love him. What's wrong with love? Love is just a word. Saying says, man put their friends above their woman. Easy to say, that means man loves man than woman, doesnt it? XD.

But a warning, please dont be a homo. Girls nowadays need to compete with gays. It's 500 woman compete for 1 man. If you also become a gay, they'll lose one chance to be with man. Pity them. I'm relieved I am a man. At least I dont have to compete with others, XD. Let's just enjoy life for the meantime.

And just for your information, Hyewon-Jeonghyang couple won an award as the best couple. Cool huh? WOman-woman couple. XD

Lastly, first line on this subtopic was wrong. I think Spotlight does, it doesnt have any love story at all. That's why the rating is so bad, XD.

THREE: Soundtracks.

Being a video geek, I love soundtracks. Creating a video needs soundtracks. Although I'm actually really sucks at choosing the right one for my video. Okay. I admit that.

Everyone loves music, but I'm more into soundtrack. In a video, soundtracks main role is to give the scene a feeling. Fear, happiness, suspense, sad. In home-made video, we're interrupted with surrounding's sound in noise pattern, but watch a movie in theater. The only sound you'll heard is the dialogue, sound effects, important surrounding sounds (rain, cars) and soundtracks. This somehow made me love soundtracks more than other genre. My computer only has soundtracks, of course with exception of Girl's Generation, XD.

Listening to soundtracks, be it with or without vocals, made me visualizes the scene in my head. I still can see how Mishil plays that glass-filled-with-water instrument everytime I listen to "Crystal Glasses". I can feel the feeling of Danwon towards Hyewon everytime "Song of the Wind - Jo Sung Mo" plays. It has disadvantages though. Whenever "Into the New World - Girls Generation" plays, their on-stage performance visualized in my head. Maybe I can make some videos with drugs footage and put a song as the background. In the exam, just sing the song and all the drugs will come up into my mind. Need to try it after this. XD

Suddenly I learned about Korean history more than my country's, XD. It's a bad habit actually. Please rise up your nationalism level! I still got Chuno and Jejungwon. Jejungwon is not a saeguk one, but it's still a historical one.

Malaysia, please make a pendekar drama. I miss "Strong Heart" (Hati Waja). I think why old history doesnt written as detailed as possible is to let people being creative to write their own version. If Ramlee Awang Murshid succeed with his Laksamana Sunan story intermingled with Hang Tuah timeline, why not other people?

Last minute addition: For young creative writers out there, check out this blog (Alaf15).

p/s: Why did I feel this entry was full of "XD"? XD

Light of Love

After having headache and back pain for three days during reading Anatomy books, and auto-diagnosed myself as having prostate cancer - the symptoms due to cancer cells invaded my vertebral venous plexus and went up to my brain's dural venous sinuses - I managed to combine all the video parts downloaded from TV3 Portal to become a single file, WITHOUT the commercials. Now we can watch a full length episode without that long-stupid-boring commercials, hahahaha~ It's worth experimenting for 12 hours.

All credits goes to my lovely Avidemux, made the cutting and joining as easy as Cut-and-Paste, and this latest drama from TV3; Light of Love (Nur Kasih - I know, it sounds lame in English, haha). And my senior, who wrote about this drama in his blog; Azkaed. Directed by Kabir Bhatia (Kekasihku Seru, Sepi, Cinta) and written by Mira Mustaffa (Cinta), the story catched my attention. Plus, I'm one of the hero!

Casts:
Fizz Fairuz as Aidil
Remy Ishaq As Adam
Tiz Zaqyah Razak as Nur Amina
Sharifah Sofea as Katrina
Jalaluddin Hassan as Ustaz Hassan
Liza Othman as Hajah Khadijah
Umi Nazeera as Siti Sarah
Sheila Mambo as Mak Ani
Rahim Omar as Imam Abu Bakar
Ayu Raudhah as Aliya

(OMG, I dont know any of these casts except Sharifah Sofea. Am I being too long overseas?)

Synopsis:
Story about two brothers; Aidil the good boy and HafizAdam the bad boy. Aidil went to Cairo, Egypt and Adam went to Sydney, Australia to further their study. Their father, Ustaz Hassan fell sick and will be dead in two months, so they came home to be with him, for the last time.

Before he died, the father wants to see his sons get married so he asked Aidil, if he has anyone in his mind. Aidil told his father about Nur Amina, and the father made a cruel decision when he proposed Nur Amina for Adam (As expected. He wants the good wife to change Adam's bad behaviour since he failed to do so before).

Adam has a girlfriend in Australia; Katrina, and Nur Amina wants to further her study, so both of them didnt want to get married. But Hajah Khadijah advised Adam to respect father's last wish, and since Nur Amina is a cute good girl who obeys her parents, they finally got married.

Then Adam went back to Australia, leaving Nur Amina (He's so stupid, I rather choose Nur Amina than that old-looking Katrina. She's a cute hottie =P). What will happen to them? Dont forget to watch this at TV3 every Friday, 9pm.

Overseas student? Dont be stupid and ask that question.

I want to reencode them to XviD but the size will get triple and there're loss of quality (The original one is about 250kbps average, the same as downloaded from YouTube. Reencode using the same bitrate made it worse, higher bitrate's still blurry) so I kept them in the original codec for flash (VP6F), small size and faster to encode. Just sit back, watch happily and shut up. Find high quality videos at Jiwang or whatever site you know supplying Malay dramas.

The story seems typical but the director Kabir Bhatia, GAPENA, and cute Nur Amina made me watched this. At least the theme is NOT the same boring rempit, bohsia, bohjan, gay, power-struggling, or rich good-looking guy, like other Malay dramas. Better, there're no such stupid so-called-modern-names like Zoela or Ezora or Benny. Back to the nice good-old-days-village-named Nur Amina and Siti Sarah.

And I love the theme song: Nur Kasih by Yasin and Eena Houzyana.

Watched two episodes, quite good although it's a bit slow-paced. The synopsis and trailer in the website itself covers up to three episodes (I assume). Hope it'll get better soon. Besides the love story, you'll see how Aidil cope with the situation in Malaysia, the technique of dakwah. I hope this drama will not be influenced by that stupid Yasmin Ahmad, bringing wrong concept of Islam, and making controversial issues. I'll believe in the writer about this.

Overall? Need to watch more but in the meantime, [7/10]

My headache's still there, and my back pain worsen each days, I need to do some Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA) Test to confirm my auto-diagnose, tee hee~

Wants to accompany me?

Quote for the day, suitable to be an excuse if your girlfriends wants you to buy something for her:
"Isteri orang ada intan berlian, isteri abang?"
"Isteri abang, ada abang..."

[2009.06.24]
Some friends asked me for the pix from the Galeri Gambar at TV3, so I've compiled them in a single file. There're some pix at Nur-Adam's Wedding and Behind-the-Scene which're not in the videos, and they're sooo beautifully taken. Take a look yourself.

[2009.06.25]
Added links to forums discussing this story.

[2009.07.17]
From Episode 08 onwards, I'll encode using x264 (H264 High Profile/mp3 64kbps/MKV) because there's some issue, and I think this is appropriate as I'll make some changes with the setting throughout the episodes. =)

[2009.08.07]
Added karaoke for Episode 11 onwards. Cool huh?

[2009.08.14]
Guess what? I've get rid of that annoying letterbox. FullScreen will get bigger (but sorry, the quality still bad) =P

Drama Dunia Media

ON AIR

Info: DramaWiki | Soompi*
Episodes: 21
Genre: Romance
Broadcasted: 2008-Mar-05 to 2008-May-15

Wakaka.

Contohnya, drama The Four Gods. Wakaka.

Wakaka. Anime Gundam Seed banyak je kissing scene untuk kekanak.

Oh ya, kenapa agaknya ia bertemakan "ONe sided love affAIR"? Haha.

Apapun, bagi peminat Korea, mesti tonton kalau anda inginkan kelainan, ataupun gambaran bagaimana sesuatu drama dibuat. Cuma ending mungkin mengecewakan anda kerana **** (spoiler adalah dilarang). Wakaka.

SPOTLIGHT

Saya ingin mencontohi gaya ketua mereka.

Zettai Kareshi Ungkap Persoalan Mr Perfect

Nantikan reviewnya. Sebelum tuh, enjoy dulu drama Jepun kali ini:
Zettai Kareshi: A Completely Perfect Robot Lover.

Info: DramaWiki
Episodes: 10
Genre: Romance, Comedy
Broadcasted: 2008-Apr-15 to 2008-Jun-24
More: OST - Torrent
Download: Torrent

Keajaiban ini jugalah yang cuba dihapuskan pengarah projek Nightly Series, yang menganggap emosi adalah sesuatu yang bahaya, dengan menegaskan matlamat asal projek tersebut; to create a robot that will dedicate himself to his lover, not something like human that have emotion.

We came to the world not to find someone perfect to love,
but to learn how to love imperfect person perfectly.

Surgeon Bong Dal Hee & New Heart

Firstly, this is not a review nor a preview about drama series. I'm just writing something to share. I've put the links so if you want to know more about a serie, feel free to click them.

Currently I'm waiting for 2 Korean Medical series - Surgeon Bong Dal Hee and New Heart. These drama is not like Iryu Team Medical Dragon or House MD, so dont expect them to tell you so much medical facts. For those who ever watched Grey's Anatomy, these are the Asian (Korean) version but with different storyline and without the sexual-intercourse-part lol.

Actually, it tells the meaning of the terms they used but it is in Korean and it depends on the fansubber to translate them. So I watched these series with Answers.com opened with my Mozilla Firefox 3 beta 5 lol.

Currently(at the time this entry written), I finished 5 episodes. The fansubber for this serie is Written In The Heaven Subbing Squad (WITHS2), but for this serie their work is a little bit messy (lol borrowing my sb sentence). Well maybe this is their first time subbing medical drama (I think) or this is their side-project. But overall I still enjoyed this serie.

Synopsis: This story is about Bong Dal Hee, a first year intern who had heart disease, strive through intern's life in order to become a surgeon - paediatrics thoracic surgeon - to be specific. Well, just read the Wiki lol.

Up to episode 5, she had a really rough time, her first patient dead and she also take the blame for another intern's mistake, haha. The most enjoying is when she ask the patient questions - really looks like a beginner. "Are you having a pain when climbing the stairs?", "One more question, do you feel like a brick on your chest?", "Can I ask one more question?" blablabla lol.

Up till now, the serie still feels great - maybe because I dont like facts-based-drama like House MD and this serie still have Korean-love-story touch. But it is categorised as the best compared to another medical series so, I'll just watch and give my rating later.

This drama maybe didnt well-known because how hard I tried, there is no OST to download (I mean complete batch) and there's too little wallpaper-like-pix. But somehow I managed to find a little at Soompi and KoreanMovie and the complete batch at AsianLoad. yak sok by Kim Ki Won really great.

NEW HEART

This one subbed by Band of Nuts Funsubs (BON) and currently, I'm waiting for the hardsub version episode 14. Actually BON's Clubbox have it till episode 16 but my download using clubbox often interrupted so just wait for the torrent version lol.

This is one of BON's medical drama projects, apart from Iryu Team Medical Dragon so you can expect their works is great, with the terms-explaining-text, although sometimes they missed. This drama potrayed most of the management challenge. You know what I meant - corruption, political influence, fraud blablabla. And maybe - discrimination.

It also touch about how a doctor should improve their skills, honesty in researches and episode 13 give us a question - why did I become a doctor? Dr Choi Kang Gook, professor of Thoracic Department really depressed when he lost his wife and been sued, all because he was working to save lives, and finally he said this. You got to watch if you want to know what I meant lol.

About the characters, Lee Eun Sung is just too nice I think. Been bullied, but his presence gives life to the staffs. Then, sometimes I feel Nam Hae Suk really cute although some users from Forums described her as zombie. Haha. She is a nerd and really didnt have manners. Watch this serie and judge her behaviour, which is the opposite of Lee Eun Sung, whether it is good or not to be like that.

The OST's are great, but I didnt found the translation (although some episodes have the song's translation but it is not complete) and I love OST no 5. Haha wondering what it is? The OST link is up there.
